Q: Dr Mahathir resignation obviously failed to bring PM Abdullah down.Has DR M play his last card?
I think Dr Mahathir still have some influence among the general malaysian public, they know his powerful and his designation have brought some members of parliment over
to him, but that has failed. But notwithstanding major board on Abdullah leadership because he is the former president in the party, who is still whilst some influence in the
party, has probably exhisbited?? the crisis because Abdullah himslef is perceive very week in Umno.
Q: So how long more do you think Abdullah can hang on to his power?
His main advantage is not his authority or stenght but because he has very week deputy and brought too many scandals complicity many crimes and not able to answer
serious allegation over corruption. So i Think ABdullah just floating around in the absent of the credible contender to the umno leadership
Q: In the mean time u trying to gain support . You say you have simple majority, how strong and stable is your position now?
We have the numbers i have set up and i would like to reiterate, the issue now, is to ensure smooth transition according to constitunional provisons and we are not there for
in the rush. Today is the last day of our parliamentary sitting and the decision taken by keadilan, dap and Pas, the coalition partners, is that we follow trough the process
and ensure that there is absolute guarantee on political stability on smooth peaceful transition and the focus would be the economy.
Q: But dispite having the numbers in ur words you lost a key member to Umno. Ezam Mohd Nor who help your wife established your party. That must be a blow for keadilan
and the oppositon.
Well he left the party 2 years ago, he did not participate in the last election. He was not there in the last congress. So this is just the opportunity for umno to revive an old
story. You must remember he the left 2 years ago and therefore why make it an issue now. We won the election without him..during the last election we manage impressive
showing in the election.
Q: are you disappointed with his move?
No, we’d anticipated this..he left the party two years ago. so It has been negotiating with other parties so i thought this why we. only the local mainstream government
control media would play this up as a major issue..
Q: are you expecting anymore defection from your party?.
Right now we have a lot defection from umno to our side, including members of parliament . I think we’ll focus on that..but we are democratic party.
Q; U said before that 30 members will cross to ur party, can u categorilcally say that u have not pay anyone to defect?
yes. i infact have challenge the government if they have any of any XXX or evidence governemnet that we have offered monetary benefits to many of their members whatever
position, then im liable to be even charge report this authority, but we have stac our principle..yes our friends here in peninsular were acctracted too they because they know
they very little future in the party and so much trouble within thi party . Sabah Sarawak has better offer from us, in the issue of the poverty irridication, in the issue petroleum
royalty, of poverty education. issue of royalty by this state have been marginalised from far too long.
Q: why exactly you contest the by election seat?
That Im eligible to contest now we would to opt to do that immediatley .There is no appoiting different issue, there are two issues here. Number one we not uncategorical
answer by the authorities because there a lot of one member resign and i opt to contest they say im not qualified, so this is possiblity, but more important the focus now is
forming new government so we can do that simoultaneously and we are ensured that the process would be tranparent and the process would be fair and constituion and the
legal process woukd be observe or respected.
Q: If u win and become PM, Who will your deputy be?
This will be discuss among the qualification partners. we have they consenses, they will submit some proposals and we’ll have to discuss and they have ask me to look at
it and discuss with them.
Q: But there are some names so far Lim Guan Eng from instant .. without be potential candidate?
well im still open i dont thisnk i should bring end this. Lim Guan eng doing remarkebly well as chief minister of Penang.
