Media reports that PAS vice president Datuk Husam Musa has said that PAS will implement hudud if Pakatan Rakyat takes over the Federal Government has created a frenzy of reaction.Hukum hudud is not Pakatan Rakyat policy and it is for Husam to clarify what he actually said.
DAP’s stand on the secular character of Malaysian nation and state as agreed in the social contract by our forefathers when Merdeka was achieved 51 years ago remains consistent and unchanged.
If unclarified, Husam’s statement would create unease, anxiety and opposition not only among the 11% of the Chinese voters in the critical Kuala Terengganu by-election on January 17 but also among both Malay and non-Malay voters whether in Terengganu or the rest of Malaysia. - Lim Kit Siang

I am quite disappointed that such statement can come out from Husam. He's a moderate PAS leader
I understand PAS would ultimately want Islamic state but however, if you don't have such capacity, it would be better to persih the thought

So does Malaysian Malaysia concept as those are the parties' policy... Islamic State is PAS's and Malaysian MAlaysia is DAP's... and these 2 parties have every rights to express their party's policy...
PR's policy is "Negara Berkebajikan dan Adil kepada rakyat"....
I as a non muslim don't mind hudud as long as it does not infringe on my rights, Hudud or no Hudud, it does not affect me but just imagine, if Hudud is implemented who are the people without hands, I would say majority of UMNO members will be walking around with one hand, and don't forget the civil service, we will have a brand new civil service employees to replace those who have had their hands chopped off, that would mean at least 750,000 NEW JOBS FOR MALAYSIANS, as half our civil servants will form a new soceity in Malaysia, the one hand crook party in MALAYSIA. AREN'T THEY ALL CORRUPT ANYWAY, As Umno's leaders have admitted the disease Mahathirsm aka makan suap aka duit kopi has created this new culture of sans maruah greed and it practically impossible to cure, SO WHY NOT? IF THE CANCER IS SO WIDESPREAD, IF AMPUTATION WILL CURE THE BODY SO BE IT, it won't affect me, as I am honest and work hard for my salary, its the muslims who will bear the consequences, anyway after 1 election we can vote against Pas after they have cleaned house and all the amputees can go live in Kelantan and become beggers at the thai- Malaysian border.
Btw it will also be good news as we will get rid of the corrupt, HALF THE PDRM PERSONNELL WILL LOSE THEIR HANDS WITH THAT, THEIR JOBS, WHY NOT? Maybe than we will get more LAW abiding dedicated personnell. Crime definatly a drop, incest and what not definatly, just imagine the population drop with all those stonings. WOW, purquoi pas?
