PETALING JAYA - Lagu kebangsaan yang dinyanyikan pada jam 10 malam oleh rakyat Malaysia yang berhimpun di Dewan Sivik Petaling Jaya di sini, gagal dihormati oleh polis. Dalam kejadian tangkapan 24 orang dalam perhimpunan itu, kira-kira 400 orang sedang menyanyikan lagu negaraku, diserang oleh sekumpulan pihak polis tanpa menunggu Lagu Kebangsaan tamat.
Perhimpunan itu diadakan sempena ulangtahun pertama Perhimpunan 100,000 rakyat Gabungan Pilihan raya Bersih dan Adil (Bersih) setahun lalu.
Menurut Ahli Parlimen Ketereh, Ab Aziz Ab Kadir, lagu Negaraku merupakan lambang penghormatan kepada negara dan polis seharusnya menghormati peserta yang tekun menyanyikan lagu Kebangsaan negara.
Aziz turut memprotes cara polis menyuraikan perhimpunan itu yang disifatkan sebagai keterlaluan dan ganas.
Menurutnya, Polis sengaja memprovokasi peserta semata-mata untuk menghalalkan tindakan mereka.
Aziz juga kesal dengan tindakan polis menghalang tugas wartawan apabila menahan mereka dan hanya membebaskannya dua jam kemudian termasuk wartawan Suara Keadilan Rusnizam Mahat.
Pemimpin DAP dakwa polis bertindak kasarSambil menyangkal komen Ketua Polis Selangor, Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, mereka memberitahu sidang akhbar di lobi Parlimen hari bahawa polis mula bertindak sewaktu peserta sedang menyanyikan lagu Negaraku.
Hadir sama di sidang akhbar tersebut ialah pemimpin DAP, Lim Kit Siang dan setiausaha agung parti itu yang juga ketua menteri Pulau Pinang, Lim Guan Eng.
Pua, ahli Parlimen Petaling Jaya Utara berkata, pergelutan berlaku apabila pihak polis mula mengarahkan peserta bersurai ketika mereka sedang menyanyikan lagu Negaraku.
"Sebelum itu, saya telah memberitahu mereka (polis) bahawa kita akan bersurai secara aman selepas itu. Tetapi ketika sedang menyanyikan lagu Negaraku, mereka sudah mula bergerak ke arah kami," katanya.

1. tidak peralatkan lagu negaraku sebagai perisai untuk elakkan polis menyuraikan perhimpunan HARAM.
